While the greater Portland area endured snowpocalypse a few weeks ago, Leland Iron Works’ elevation—or should I say lack of elevation—kept the snow fall to minimum. We didn’t really know what everyone else was complaining about.
But we got some good photos of sculpture in the snow. For as long as I can remember, snow days have always meant grabbing cameras and trudging around the property to look at art. There is something whimsical about sculpture in the snow. You see familiar work in a different way, maybe you see sculpture the way nature sees it.
